Phillodendron is a large, constantly growing genus,

 

with some 350 spices thus far desribed.  While a few are in the category known

 

as "self-heading", which category known as "self-heading",

 

which means that the leaves are produced at the top of a stout thunk,

 

most can be found clambering high into the jungles of their native tropical America.

 

 

 

 

To mention only a few of the numerous species, P, scandens has heart-shaped

 

glossy leaves that are bronzy when young and later dark green,

 

P. domesticum has long dark green leaves, P. erubescens has purple stems

 

and leaves that are dark green on top and purple below, and heart-shaped

 

When young but become deeply incised as they mature.

All like shady, moist, forest-type garden conditions and can be grown

 

either up trees or as a dense ground cover.

 

 

 

 

필로로덴드론(Phillodendron)은 천남성과에 속하며 원산지는 브라질, 파라과이인 잎을 감상하는 관엽식물이다.

 

잎은 두껍고 광택이 있으며, 색깔이 아름답다.  처음 본 사람은 토란의 잎과 착각하기도 한다.

 

필로로덴드롬 셀로움(Phillodendron Cellom)은 덩굴성으로 다른 물체를  감아 올라가는 것과 짧은 줄기에 잎을 사방으로 펼치는 종류가 있다.

 

덩굴성은 고목, 수태기둥 등에 붙여 심고 덩굴성이 아닌 것은 보통 문에 지주를 세우지 않고 심는다.

 

 

 

필로로덴드론 셀로움(Phillodendron Cellom)은 잎이 넓고 꽃의 수가 많기 때문에 전자파 제거에 효과적이다. 

 

또한 포름알데히드 제거 능력이 있다.  포름알데히드는 접착제, 커텐, 화장지, 장판, 가스난로, 페인트, 종이타올 등에서 발생한다.

 

필로로덴드롬 셀로움은 꽃꽂이에서 많이 사용하고 있는 잎이다.  잎의 모양이 특이하고 아름다우며 광택이 있어 수반꽃꽂이에도 많이 사용된다.

 

또한 꽃다발, 부케(Bouquet) 등에도 많이 사용한다.  줄기를 잘라 수경재배해도 예쁘다.

 

필로로덴드론(Phillodendron)은 안투리움, 극락조화, 칼라, 헬리코니아, 홍초, 수국, 해바라기, 아마릴리스, 맨드라미, 방크시아, 양란류,

 

프로테아, 홍두화, 석란, 거베라, 금어초, 스토크, 리아트리스, 아가판서스 같은 소재와 함께 꽃꽂이할 때 잘 어울린다.
