프란치스코 교황 성하께서 "로마와 전세계"에 보내는 첫 강복

사랑하는 형제 자매 여러분

 

좋은 저녁입니다.  여러분도 아시다시피 콘클라베의 임무는 로마에 주교를 뽑아주는 것이었습니다.

 

저희 형제 추기경님들께서는 그 주교를 찾고자 지구의 끝으로 가신 것 같습니다.  그러나 우리는 이제 여기에 있습니다.

 

여러분의 환영에 감사를 드립니다.   로마 교구 공동체는 이제 그 주교를 갖게 되었습니다.  여러분 감사합니다.

 

무엇보다 먼저 저는 우리의 전임주교이신 베네딕토 16세를 위하여 기도하고자 합니다. 

 

 주님께서는 베네딕토 16세에게 강복하시고 성모님께서 그분을 지켜주시도록 우리 모두 그분을 위하여 기도합시다.

이제 우리는 주교와 백성으로서 여정을 시작합니다.  로마 교회의 이 여정은 사랑으로 온 교회를 이끄는 것입니다.

 

우리 서로의 형제애와 사랑과 신뢰의 여정입니다.  언제나 우리 서로를 위하여 기도합시다.  전 세계가 커다란 형제애를 이루도록

 

전 세계를 위하여 기도합시다.  여기 계신 대목구장 추기경님께서 저를 도와주시겠지만 여러분을 향한 저의 희망은 오늘 우리가

 

시작하는 교회의 이 여정이 이토록 아름다운 도시의 복음화를 위하여 많은 열매를 맺는 것입니다.

 

이제 여러분께 강복을 드리고자 합니다.  그런데 먼저 여러분께 부탁을 드리겠습니다.  주교가 그 백성을 축복하기 전에

 

여러분이 주님께서 제게 복을 내려주시도록 기도하여 주시기를, 곧 자기 주교를 위하여 강복을 청하는 백성의 기도를 여러분께

 

드립니다.   잠시 침묵하는 가운데 이러한 기도를 드립시다.  저를 위하여 기도해 주십시오.

Apostolic Blessing "Urbi et Orbi":

 

Brothers and sisters, good evening!

You know that it was the duty of the Conclave to give Rome a Bishop. 

It seems that my brother Cardinals have gone to the ends of the earth to get one...

but here we are... I thank you for your welcome. 

The diocesan community of Rome now has its Bishop.  Thank you!     

And first of all, I would like to offer a prayer for our Bishop Emeritus, Benedict XVI. 

 Let us pray together for him, that the Lord may bless him and that Our Lady may keep him. 

 

Our Father...

 

Hail Mary...

 

Glory Be...

 

 

And now, we take up this journey:  Bishop and People. 

 This journey of the Church of Rome which presides in charity over all the Churches.

  A journey of fraternity, of love, of trust among us. 

 Let us always pray for one another.  Let us pray for the whole world,

that there may be a great spirit of fraternity. 

It is my hope for you that this journey of the Church, which we start today,

and in which my Cardinal Vicar, here present,

will assist me, will be fruitful for the evangelization of this most beautiful city. 

And now I would like to give the blessing, but first - first I ask a favour of you:

before the Bishop blesses his people,

I ask you to pray to the Lord that he will bless me:

the prayer of the people asking the blessing for their Bishop. 

Let us make, in silence, this prayer:  your prayer over me.
